Local AI Collective is a practical initiative focused on useful AI tools for nonprofits and community organizations.
Service-oriented by design
The goal is not to push AI into every workflow. The goal is to identify a problem where a small tool or assistant could save time, reduce friction, or improve access to information.
That might mean a chatbot, a document assistant, a search layer over internal policies, or a lightweight automation for repetitive admin work.
Practical and careful
We approach AI as something to test carefully: with human review, clear boundaries, and attention to privacy. If AI is not a good fit, the right answer may be a simpler non-AI workflow improvement.
The work is inspired by local civic-tech and Data for Good style microprojects, but this site does not claim any official affiliation.
